On March 22, 2005, MUSUBI AIKIDO was incorporated under the laws of the Philippines and was therefore granted judicial personality. Its registered corporate name is MUSUBI AIKIDO PRACTIONERS ASSN. OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC.

HISTORY

On April 25, 1998, MUSUBI AIKIDO was founded and established by Abraham “Abe” C. Chavez,
MBA and Atty. Carla Honora N. Borromeo. Its first dojo was located at the 3rd Floor, 7-11 corner Tandang Sora, Visayas Ave., Quezon City, Philippines.

Its two principal objectives are:
   1. To propagate Aikido according to the
       principles and teachings of O’Sensei, the
       founder, as spread by Hombu Dojo, Aikido
       World Headquarters, Tokyo, Japan.
   2. To Promote friendly relationships among
       existing dojos recognized by "Hombu Dojo",
       Aikido World Headquarters, Tokyo, Japan.
       Thus, it is open to all Ueshiba Aikido
       practitioners.

Since its inception and establishment on April 25, 1998, Musubi Aikido was able to put up dojos and or conducted Aikido trainings/ seminars:
    • Conducted Aikido instructions/ trainings in
       PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming
       Corporation) “ 3 day Aikido Self-defense
       program for external security” (April 26 to 29,
       2006, May 16 to 19, 2006, and May 30 to
       June 2, 2006)
     • Conducted Aikido instructions/training in
       PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming
       Corporation) “10 day Aikido Self-defense
       program for internal security” (Nov 17-29, 2004)

The following is a list of summary of Musubi Aikido activities since its establishment on April 25, 1998:
   1. Issued and conducted Kyu Grades based on
       the Hombu Syllabus.
   2. Conducted Pre-qualification Examination for
       Dan Grades Examinees.
   3. Filed application for the registration of dan
       grades.
   4. Organized Interclub Aikido Practices open to
       Ueshiba Aikido Practitioners.
   5. Joint activities with other Aikido groups in the
       Philippines such as preparation and
       organization of visits of Shihans/Senseis from
       Hombu.
   6. The founders of Musubi Aikido Practitioners
       Assn. of the Philippines, Inc., Abraham “Abe”
       Chavez and Atty. Carla Honora N. Borromeo
       attended the assumption of Moriteru Ueshiba
       as Aikido Doshu and attended a 1 week
       practice at Hombu Dojo - Sept.1996.
   7. Organized and conducted “10 hours Baguio
       Summer Aikido Training Seminar” at Baguio
       City - April 29 and 30, 2006.
   8. Joint activities with Hombu concerning
       invitation of Ito Sensei during the Mid-year
       Seminar 2006 and co-sponsored and co-
       organized the said visit/seminar of Ito Sensei.
   9. In the propagation of Aikido, Musubi Aikido
       was able to put up several dojos in the past
       and or conducted Aikido trainings/seminars
       as set forth in the foregoing 3rd paragraph.
